This dream is set in Middle Earth, at the time of the War of the Rings. The dream is very fluid. Sizes and other details change frequently.

I’m in a cave, riding along with an army (Gondor or Rohan, it’s never clear which). We’re riding toward a battle that I know is going to take place at a specific time and place – because of my foreknowledge from the movie (and not the books, which I’ve read far more times than I’ve seen the movies) – however it’s not a battle that really takes place in the story.

The place will be a small cavern into which 3 passages empty. Two passages will have armies of men, and the 3rd the enemy (orcs I assume, but for some reason it’s not certain/clear in the dream).

As we ride, the passage is at times very narrow, only 2-3 can ride abreast, and at other times broader. At this point, I know I won’t be fighting, but I still occasionaly push to the front to see what’s going on, but then let myself drop back.

We reach a cavern like the one we expect the battle to take place in, but no one else is there, so we continue on to the next similiar cavern.

Lo and behold, there’s the enemy. The 3rd passage, which is suppose to have our allies in it, instead is a door leading to a bathroom, which opens to admit Gandalf, who was at times with the army I was in, and some other of the heroes from the story – though which ones keeps changing. I distinctly remember thinking that people are going to be making all sorts of jokes about a bunch of men hiding together in a closet (yes, it’s become a closet now in my mind).

The battle begins. Near the front of the enemy lines is a mount that is down and seems to change from being a horse to some sort of lizardy thing, but not one of the flying mounts of the Nine. I gallop forward and get my horse to jump on its neck with all four hooves, the horse is conveniently small enough for this to work. My horse springs back and I get back into the ranks of the army I was with.
